With a keen and constant eye on the latest trends and developments in personal and commercial liability defense, Katie is at the forefront of personal injury defense in the Pacific Northwest.  Katie has been successfully defending insurance carriers and policyholders in all aspects of personal injury litigation for 18 years, and is consistently recognized as an Oregon “Super Lawyer.”  Katie is frequently recognized for her strong litigation and negotiation skills, impressive verdicts across the spectrum from cases involving minor soft-tissue injuries to the most complex cases involving traumatic brain injury and wrongful death.  Katie is routinely asked to speak at industry and trade events, including events hosted by the Oregon Casualty Adjusters Association, International Association of SIU Investigators, and the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel.

Katie joined the MLR legal team as a shareholder in 2019 to establish the firm’s personal injury defense practice, and MLR’s clients routinely praise her energy, legal acumen, responsiveness, and commitment to the highest standards.

Katie is an avid runner and swimmer and enjoys participating in half marathons. When she is not in the courtroom she can be found watching her daughter play soccer or watching her beloved Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball team. She is a dog lover and has two Novia Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers named Bailey and Daisy.
