Heather brings valuable courtroom and jury trial experience to the MLR team. She has been a defense attorney for numerous jury trials including the defense of a high profile Federal case in the Oregon District Court. She has worked for the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, provided criminal and civil defense in the Oregon Circuit Courts and in the Federal Court for the District of Oregon. Her well-reasoned arguments and zealous defense have yielded favorable outcomes in all of her jury trials. Her practice experience includes: Insurance Defense; Wills, Trusts, and Probate; Criminal Misdemeanor and Felony Defense; Real Estate Transfer; Corporation and Nonprofit Creation; and expungements.

In her free time, Heather enjoys hiking to waterfalls throughout the area, taking long Sunday drives exploring the Pacific Northwest, and spending time with her daughters. She is an experienced blue water sailor with 8,000 nautical miles in the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Pacific aboard the SV Double Happiness. An avid animal lover, she has a Jack Russell Terrier named Tortfeasor, cats named Democracy, Nabiya, and Hemingway, and a small flock of backyard chickens.
